Translating to “The Culture of Bamboo”, this piece is an experiment of the use of 3D Space. It explores the relationship between the man-made and natural, and how our built environment is intertwined with nature in the context of the Philippines. The concept was formed as the intersection between nature and precision, stemming from the idea of the resilience and strength of bamboo. The layout was first planned and modelled on SketchUp, detailing the order of the reeds. Afterwards, each reed was woven and wrapped to create the tunnel effect seen.
