Bukidnon Cultural Museum

Work done under Plaza + Partners

June 2019

In collaboration with TJ Tan, Kat Petilla, Dianne Tapawan, and Sarah Gatmen

The Bukidnon Cultural Museum is a project commissioned by the local government of Bukidnon, a province in the southern Philippines. I worked in conjunction with a team of architects and college students to come up with this design proposal. Its design, coming out of the ground, stems from Bukidnon’s etymology, “from the mountains”. 7 light wells sprout from the ground, representing the 7 tribes of the region. The museum revolves around an experiential program that integrates the rich culture and history of the region.
